Dr. Chris Kuehl (pronounced Keel, like the bottom of a boat), is an analyst, economist, and author. As Managing Director of Armada Corporate Intelligence, he provides forecasting and strategic guidance for a wide variety of private and corporate clients from around the world. In this capacity, he authors Business Intelligence Briefs and Executive Intelligence Briefs – two publications from Armada providing information on national and regional political and economic trends affecting business decisions. He also operates as one of the chief editors of the Armada Flagship Brief, thereby connecting with several thousand business executives numerous times each week.

With more than two decades of experience, Kuehl serves as the Chief Economist for several national and international business organizations, including the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, National Association of Credit Management, Finance, Credit, and International Business, as well the Business Information Industry Association. As part of these duties, he authors a twice monthly publication, Fabrinomics, which details the impact of economic trends on manufacturers. He similarly prepares a monthly Credit Managers Index as a national survey of credit and financial movement and acts as an economic analyst and commentator for various meetings and conferences both domestic and abroad.

In addition, Kuehl lends his expertise as an economic analyst for a host of state accounting societies in Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Kansas.

Prior to starting Armada Corporate Intelligence in 1999, Kuehl was a professor of economics and finance for 15 years, teaching in the United States as well as in Hungary, Russia, Estonia, Singapore, and Taiwan. He has a doctorate in Political Economics and advanced degrees in both Soviet and East Asian studies.
